I’m not safe.

I haven’t been safe for a while now.

I ran to Zeth for protection, but Zeth is in danger himself. With Julio on one side, and the leader of the Widow Makers MC on the other, the smartest thing to do would be to run. I’ve been running long enough, though.

This is the closest I’ve come to finding my sister in two years.

I can’t back down now.

My right hand man’s being tortured in the basement.

The guy who tried to buy Sloane’s virginity is burning rubber in our direction.

My psychotic boss is on a mission to find me, and the girl I’m supposed to be keeping safe has landed herself right in the middle of all of this.

Just another breezy weekend in the Californian desert.

What could possibly go wrong in the next 48 hours?

Dear Callie Hart,
You slay me with these two characters. You absolutely just make me want to lie down and absorb them into my soul. Great Job!

I can’t get enough of Zeth and Sloane. I really can’t. I mean Sloane just PLUNGED herself full speed and head on into Zeth’s universe. She has fully accepted him as is. She left me with my mouth hanging open. I love that Sloane surprises me but she wasn’t the only one this time around…..ZETH surprised me even more with his tiny spots of softness…i said tiny so calm down. Do not get me wrong he isn’t going to out right show you softness and he wont readily admit it but you start to see the patches of marshmallow in him. AND LACEY dropped an even bigger bomb, a nail biting piece of information that makes me hold my breath in anticipation but I can’t figure out if it’s a scared or excited anticipation. I cannot wait to see how THAT unfolds.

So mission accomplished…they found the sister but of course PLOT TWIST. Duck for cover because holy crap i sped through the few chapters before the “moment” and then my eyes bugged out of my head for sure at the end. Did i mention Sloane is part crazy? Secretly, I wish i could be more like Sloane but don’t tell anyone. Honestly this book almost gave me a heart attack. Seriously, i thought i was going to die from not being able to read fast enough or from sheer adrenaline. Don’t tell me I am the only person who experiences the heart pounding, exhilarating, almost manic feeling of being plunged into a very active plot or scene? I’m not a runner but I imagine that its similar to runner’s high. Reading is my jogging and when i was done i was pumped!

Zeth and Sloane are in my head official by the end of this book. There was a lot of heart pounding and breath holding as well. The atmosphere is Julio’s compound was tense to say the least and that was before the bike gang showed up. Now when they did things got really interesting. You learned the your past always has a way of catching up with you because literally Zeth’s past and present collide. Thankfully this book also delved a bit into some of Zeths past without taking too much attention off of the present story. I felt as though the flash backs built upon the present story so we could understand it in a better way. I truly cannot wait to see what the next book has in store and from what i see from Callie Hart’s Facebook Post the last book is a doozy.
