Summary:
Real love stories are not a fairytale.
Josie Sommers, a nerdy 24 year old school teacher, knows first-hand that the road to a so-called “happiness” is not easy. Hit again with another tragedy, Josie finds herself propositioned to give the person she used to love before he betrayed her another chance. Though she vowed to never be with him again, her resolve weakens when he invokes the same passion they had years earlier.
“One week, Jo. Then you can decide if we can’t try to make this work. You can decide if we were meant to be nothing but a memory.”
While they once had a loving relationship, it was also one filled with lies that tore them apart. Getting over those lies has been something that Josie was unwilling to do, until recently.
Forming friendships, losing a best friend, finding love, being betrayed, finding love again, lies, and broken promises are just some of the struggles that Josie faces. With so many hurdles, we know that Josie’s story is no fairytale.
That’s a promise.
This book is book one in a three part series, so not all matters are resolved at the end of the novel. It is also meant for ages 18+ due to yummy adult content 😉

Review:
I love the realistic tragedy this book brings you. It was heart wrenching but it could happen to anyone. It was back and forth in some places but again it was realistic. The only thing that i kind of was like ‘Meh’ with was that i was able to predict the HUGE issue between Josie and Blake’s relationship. Even when i got the confirmation of my prediction i still was emotionally invested in the outcome and how Josie felt. Josie is great and Blake is practically perfect until he falls from grace and Seth is fantastic until he’s not either. Truth is none of these characters are perfect. None of the situations are perfect. None of their family lives are perfect. Nothing about this book is perfect. And that in itself is what makes it such a good book. I am very glad that this was so emotional in a i-have-lived-through-some-of-these-situations type of way. I cannot wait to get into book #2 and cannot wait to be blown away. I am glad this book left so many loose ends to give an opportunity to tie them up in book #2 and #3.
